Race to the Brewery is proud to support our communities with money raised from our event each year, and our scholarship fund, established in 2018, is our way of helping young local athletes and sportspeople achieve their goals.
Since 2018, we have supported multiple individuals, groups, and clubs from a wide range of sports, including Squash, Swimming, Tae Kwon Do, Cycling, and many more, and given them and their families a leg up, enabling them to participate in competitions and excel in their chosen sports.
We are now taking submissions for the 2025 Race to the Brewery Sports Scholarships, which will assist the next generation of sporting talent in Manawatu on their journey and access more significant sporting opportunities nationally and internationally.
Entries close Tuesday, 10th of June 2025.
There are 10 x $1,000 and 10 x $500 scholarships available*.
Scholarship recipients will be notified by mid-July 2025 and presented with their scholarship at an awards evening on the 30th of July 2025.
*The Race to the Brewery's Committee's decision regarding scholarship recipients is final and is not open for dispute.
